The Faroe Islands

The Faroe Islands are one of my favourite places. Dramatic scenery, great people, and a photographer's paradise, the Faroes are often overlooked (and overflown) as everyone heads to Iceland. It's well worth spending a week there and it's easy to get around once you have arrived. The road and tunnel network is excellent, the capital Torshavn has cool shops and bars, and the people are lovely. I went there in 2012 do document the football scene as the Faroes have the highest participation rate in football in the world - a pretty amazing statistic. For facts & info about shooting in the Faroe Islands, look here. And to read about football in the Faroes, you need this link.I couldn't stop myself from trying to document the amazing landscape as well, so here's a taster for you.
